Subjects Taught
Second Grade

I graduated from McGill Toolen Catholic High School in 2005 and then attended Saint Louis University.  In 2009 I received my Batchelor's degree in Communication Technology with a minor in Visual Communication.  After two years of working in a day care in Saint Louis, Missouri, I decided to move back home pursue my masters in Mobile.  I attended Spring Hill College, where I attained my master's degree in Elementary Education.

I was hired at Mary B. Austin shortly after completing my Master's degree in January of 2014 where I taught kindergarten.  This will be my first full year at Mary B. and I am so excited to be in second grade!

I was born and raised right here in Mobile and spent my childhood right around the corner from Mary B. Austin.  I will never forget the old wooden playground with the rope swing.  After high school, I moved to Saint Louis where I graduated with my undergraduate degree. I lived in Saint Louis for two years after graduation, and worked at a day care working with toddlers. I moved back home to Mobile to continue my education and change careers from being a graphic designer to being a teacher.  I have always enjoyed teaching, from working with Camp Rap-A-Hope, Drama Camp, and Sunny Side Theater where I volunteered, painted sets, and taught art classes.  I absolutely love my job!
